The company's existing Web Filtering solution consisted of multiple on-premise appliances which needed to be maintained and serviced by internal staff. The client wanted a solution that would eliminate the need for on-premise hardware and give them better control over today’s security threats than their existing solution provided.
SOLUTION
Zscaler’s Cloud Platform was implemented. Operations were simplified by consolidating point products for URL filtering, AV/Malware detection, Web 2.0 Controls, Advance Threats protection, Data Loss Preventioin Controls, and Bandwidth Controls. It also positioned the client to have a unified cloud based security platform for both Web and Email traffic.

Workweek Solutions proposed Zscaler's Cloud Security Platform as the solution. Zscaler was chosen by the client after a formal evaluation process involving multiple vendors. Zscaler allowed the client to save costs and simplify security operations by consolidating point products for URL filtering, AV/Malware detection, Web 2.0 controls, Advance Threats protection, Data Loss Prevention controls and Bandwidth controls. In addition, Zscaler eliminated the need to backhaul MPLS traffic from mutiple client locations to corporate. It also eliminated the need to consolidate log files from various appliances into a reporting database.
